A friendly visit

Nautilus: -It had been a long while since he'd last been to the cave. Wrapped up in affairs around camp had caused him to forget quite a few of his former friends. Now it was time, he decided, to repair those relations. One hand carrying his trident, the other grasping a string with several fish dangling off of it he wandered outside the base of a mountain- Bush, bush, bush... where is that bush? -He murmured, craning his neck and smiling once he found what he was looking for he pulled back the shrubbery to reveal the cave"s entrance. Looking around to make sure there was noone around he stepped in and waved the fish- Anybody hooooome? I brought preseeeeents

 

Ada: -looks up from counting some rupees at a table- Oh? Hey Naut! nice of you to come! come on in! -she said happily waving a hand to invite him in- oh, you may want to be quiet though, kida just got to sleep. -she said, motioning to a bed with a lump in the middle of a curled up figure covered in blankets- oh? whast that? -she suddenly asked, noticing the fish-

 

Naut: -Shrinking back and mouthing a quick apology as his entrance wasn't too quiet he approached and lifted his little gift. Lowering his voice to a softer tone he held it out to her- I decided I'd fish a little bit before I came around. It's been awhile huh? -He mentioned, looking around the cave before his eyes rested on the wolf girl. He could feel some odd vibes from her, but shook his thoughts off and returned his attention to Ada- How've you been? Things seem to be holding up nicely here

 

 Ada: -tilts her head- more or less, though I am wondering if I should keep being so kind. because I have shown people where I live, we were attacked. Kida is pretty badly beat up over it. though I think the treat of fish might make a nice change for her! -she said with a smile, swiping an arm across the table to push all the rupees into a bag and put it to the side- its nice of you to drop by, been a while since we had a friendly visit. would you like me to cook then?

 

Nautilus: -His fins perked at the sound of attack and his eyes flickered back to Kida- Goodness gracious that's awful.. I hope she's alright. You definitely need to be wary of who you trust in this world... I wonder why anyone would want to attack you though -His mouth tightened, thankful for the change of topic he offered a soft smile- It's been even longer since I've had a warm meal, so if you want to it wouldn't go unappreciated. Hopefully, like you said, it'll put some cheer back into our furry friend back there. I tried to catch some big ones, since I figured you must cook a lot for four residents

 

Ada: -nods- well Kiara and Fang are out right now, but I'm sure they will be back soon. that would be a headcount of 5 though I wouldn't give fish to fang, he can just chew on a bone. -she said mostly to herself she took the fish with a thankful smile before pulling out a metal pan she had bought and a couple herbs and spices she can acquired b y collecting in the wild or, like salt, she got form the market- since your here I will cook them to my best extent. I do hope you like them when I am done~ -she said happily as she got the fire roaring and held the pan over it, placing one of the fish on it before shaking her head and looking over to KIda- Hey Kida! mind helping me cook?

 

Kida: -grumbles a little but soon sits up from her bed, looking around before tossing the covers and trudging over to Ada. after being instructed to hold the pan she watched as the kagarok worked to cut the fish up so that it would cook easier and put some seasonings on it. this made Kida smile a little before looking to Naut- ah, hey again! you must have been the one to get the fish. thank you for that! -she said, lifting her chin a little to smile over the scarf she was now wearing-

Nautilus: -Watching Kida rise and fling the blankets he stepped over to make the bed while she helped Ada with the food. Swiftly fixing it all nice and neat he offered  that same soft smile over his shoulder as the wolf spoke to him.- Yeah, I decided it's been too long and I couldn't show up unannounced without a gift. I hope you like them, took awhile to catch em all. -walking back over and noticing the scarf he gave a few chuckles- You thinking of becoming a hobo too? You got the patches and everything hah

 

Kida: -looking down at the scarf she gave a small smile and shook her head- ah, no. this was from a friend! -she said in an airy tone. it seemed he hit the weak spot, and she started to shake a little, but she turned to focus on her task of holding the pan steady and her breathing soon evened out-

 

Ada: on another note, how would you like your fish cooked? well done or more rare?

 

Nautilus: -Pausing and face going rather sheepish as he seemed to strike somewhat of a nerve he mentally slapped himself and muttered about being more considerate. Staring at his feet and shuffling around the cave in his embarrassment he looked up, tried for another friendly smile and waved his hand- Oh any way is fine, as long as it's warm and filling it's plenty good for me.

 

Ada; -chuckles and nods, taking a little longer to finish cooking for the three of them and giving Kida a break from holding the pan and let the twili wolf rest- there we go. here, be wary of the little bones, alright? -she said in a soothing tone as she handed Kida a dish, and then turned to give a dish to Naut- here you go. I hope you like it.

 

Kida: -nods and pokes at the food a bit before pulling some of it to her mouth, continuing this process but with more enthusiasm after the first bite since she apparently liked the taste-

 

Nautilus: -He nodded his thanks and dug in happily. Finding a place to sit he chimed happily- You never sheesh to amashe Ada -He muffled through a mouthful, gulping it down before continuing- As usual it's great! I'm surprized you're not married yet, with cooking like this -He laughed, looking to Kida he offered a sweeter smile than before. Taking a moment to try and read her, eventuallt giving up and working on finishing what was given to him-

 

Kida: -at the sight of the sweet smile she gave a forced smile back but it fell as she looked to her food again. she definitely seemed happier than before with the food, but she still seemed unusually depressed-

 

Ada: -laughs lightly- perhaps I simply haven't met the right man yet. speak of... I hardly meet any men now that I think of it. most people I meet are girls. -she put her hand to her chin and tilted her head- how interesting....

 

Nautilus: -Staring down at his fish he shrugged- Gotta get out there and explore those towns. Plenty of fish in the sea as they say -He decided to leave Kida be until she wanted to talk. Looking up and toward the water pool he picked at his teeth some.- Or maybe you'll run into your future man on a hunt, now that's one for the story books -Chuckling lightly he sat back and sighed contently with a belly full of warm fish- Either way you've got tons of time for that, I'm sure whenever it happens he'll feel very very lucky though. -Rubbing a few fingers over his burn scars absently he turned his head and grinned at her- Anywho, how're the others? It's been awhile since I've seen Fang, has he grown?

 

Ada: -laughs a little- yeah, one for the story books. and yeah, fang has grown some. since Kida's ability to transform lately we have been letting him assist me in hunts. however, I still don't know what the future holds, since he will need to find another hunter. Kida is my hunter's aid, and quite frankly I don't need two. one day he will have to go out and find his own hunter to assist. -she paused her eating to look at the entrance of the cave- well, that day will come... eventually....

 

Nautilus: -He shrugged and sat back, fiddling with some of his patches- I'd offer to take him, but I'm no hunter. And I don't think Fang can fish quite as efficiently as I can. There's always the bulletin board. Or a member of the resistance. You'll find someone -Stretching a bit with a meager yawn he looked to the cave exit- I wonder what our next plan of action is now that we have all the gems.. I doubt we're prepared to fight you know who at this point... -He looked to be deep in thought for a moment. Shaking his head shortly he continued- Nother thought for another day. Hmmm, well, we had the fish but the visit would be a little short if I left now... anything you wanted to do today??

 

Ada: -lets out a deep sigh- if you want to know whats going to happen next I would ask Kravok or phoenix. but judging by the fact that phoenix is here, I think it would be safe to say that at some point in the future we fail and open a portal of time to send him back to fix things. but hey, that's just me. -she shook her head- but anyway, another subject change should be in order. maybe we should go to town? its been a while and we are starting to run short on man made supplies. well, and all other supplies at that... seeing as we haven't been up for hunting much.

Nautilus: -His brows knit together at the mention of the rito, not at all fond of him. However he brushed his concerns aside, coming back with a gentle grin as he began wandering toward the exit- Sounds good to me, I've been sleeping nearly all day so I could use the walk -Holding out a hand his fins twitched and his tail swayed lightly, looking to the wolf he matched his tone to his gentle expression- Hey, you  wanna come too? The fresh air might do you good.

Kida: -huffs a little and shoved more food into her mouth but her shoulders drooped when Ada put a hand on her shoulder and she nodded slowly- yeah... your right... -she ate for just a moment more before standing and walking towards the exit, plastering a smile on her face as she tried to forget her worries

 

Ada: -smiles and looks to Naut after placing her hand on Kida's shoulder- sounds like a great idea. c'mon, lets go. -she stood up and waited a moment for Kida before leading the way out of the cave- So Naut, anything you wanna do while we are out? oh, and hows that belt working out for ya?

 

Nautilus: -He sighed inwardly as Kida seemed less than thrilled about coming along. Still he didn't regret asking her, and hoped the sun and exercize would lift her spirits. Looking over to Ada he shrugged and followed her to the outdoors, inhaling deeply once they were out- Oh I dunno, we'll find out when we get there. Maybe they'll have games or more.food or something. And the belt's great, thanks, I now have places to store all my ruppees and knick knacks -A small laugh came from him as he looked forward-

 

Kida: once outside she took a moment to block the light from her eyes and was generally still kinda grumpy till they made it to the little villiage. once they reached the town she started darting this way and that, looking at all sorts of little knick knacks and toys and stuff, still thinking about what had her upset the past few days but in a brighter spirit-

 

Ada: -smiles- you were right, getting out really did help Kida and I'm glad the belt is helpful to you. lets see. how about a shopping spree then? that should lighten everyone's mood, yeah?

 

Nautilus: -Looking at Kida bolt from window to window his fins raised, happy to see here in higher spirits. Turning his head to Ada he scratched his cheek and chuckled dryly. Thumb and forefinger going down to fiddle with a button on one of the bags- I'm a little broke, not surprizing given my status, so if you two want to buy around to your hearts content I can follow. Apparently I also happen to be an adequate fashion consultant

 

Ada: -smiles, chuckling softly- its on me. besides, its no fun if your the only one not getting anything. I would be more than happy to--

 

Kida: Ada! look over here! wouldn't this be great for him!? -she says, pointing to a  dog toy through the window. it looked very sturdy and made for lots of rustle and tugging-

 

Ada: -leans over Kida's shoulder for a moment before patting her on the head- Sure, if you are absolutely sure that's what you want for him, but I will only get you one item for him, the rest will be for you or fang, okay? -she then turned back to Naut- anyway, yeah, you can choose something too. anything you would like~

 

Kida: -nods- alright! I'll look around more then! -darts off to another store-

 

Nautilus: -Cheeks flushing with embarrassment, he didn't want to impose on the girls or their wealth. Though his attention was stolen by Kida's sudden excitement, blinking a bit oddly first assuming "him" meant the zoran himself he looked all too puzzled when she referred to a stuffed animal. Soon discovering it most likely wasn't him they were speaking of he looked to Ada and waved his hands- Thanks, the offer is appreciated, though I'm not sure if there's anything around here that would really suit me. I've never really thought of getting something special for myself since I've never had the money or need for anything else aha -Patting her on the shoulder lightly he looked after the wolf girl as she darted off, now would be the time to ask then while she was out of earshot- Soooo.. Who's "him"?

 

Ada: -grimaced a little- well, as long as Kida is out there... -she paused and looked at him with a frown- have you ever come across a white furred wolfos, he wore a scarf like the one she is wearing and had a... less than desirable habit of eating...? -she asked suddenly, both hoping and fearing that he had come across the wolfos before-

 

Nautilus: -He paled in color as the man was described looking down to his leg where there was a noticable scar of a toothy bitemark he nodded- Not the most... Peaceful of people.. Nearly tore my leg off, probably thought I'd make some good sushi -Bringing up a foot to rub the scar he grimaced lightly but shook his head- In any case, Marci seems to like him, and I haven't had a run in with him since so I don't exactly know what to think of him. Though I take it if you two haven't become puppy chow yet then I guess he's... Better?? I don't know

 

Ada: -winces at the scar- well, we haven't had the best of run ins with him in the past, but... -she pointed to Kida- that scarf she is wearing... it's his... for some reason, I guess from her parental view, she decided to take him in and care for him. and since then, they have bonded. but that attack that I mentioned earlier... it was two men. Syrk and Slate, coming and taking him from us by force. we were lucky to meet up with him again later, but once again he was taken from us, and all that he had left for us was his scarf. Kida holds it very dear now, and cares very much for the wolfos... -shakes her head- I'm sorry if he did something that would make you hate him, it seems he has done that with a lot of people, but slate says that he is traning him to be better. Syrk though, wouldn't let us see him since their training methods are... "classified". -sighs gently- honestly we haven't been doing too well since then, since Kida hasn't been helping me with my hunting, if not making it worse, so we aren't at the top of our game. it was good to go out though, maybe she will be better after this.

 

Nautilus: -He looked absolutely baffled by the statement of Slate in the aformentioned attack. The hybrid never seemed one to attack friends. And this Syrk guy, he couldn't recall if he knew them or not. Frowning lightly he pat her again- Well, hopefully that "Training" finishes soon so he can come back to you, and I'm sorry to hear that about Kida. I'm glad to see she seems to be a little brighter now though. Hopefully it lasts -Drawing some water from a nearby pale he started forming little shapes in his slight boredom. Eyes flickering around at the different shops- I'm sure he's fine wherever he is. I know Slate well, he's not one to see any form of creature, humanoid or otherwise, go through much suffering.

 

Ada: -nods- I know, but its still hard on her. -she blinked and looked around, no longer seeing the twili wolf- where.... did she go..?

 

Nautilus: -He paused and looked around, raising a brow curiously- That's.... That's a good question -A red flag raised in his mind and he scanned the town for any sign of the other- Maybe she went into a store?

 

Ada: -looks around for a moment- hold on. -she flaps her wings and uses them to help her jump up to the roof of a building, looking from there to find the wolf girl, squinting for a moment to see further away before blinking as she sees some commotion off in the distance- oh no... -she leaped down and grabbed Nauts hand- I think she is in trouble! -she said hurriedly as she practically dragged him over to the area of commotion-

 

Kida: ah please! no stop!! -holds her hands above her head as people are throwing items at her and a man was over her, hitting her repeatedly-

 

Man: Where is he!? I know you know where he is that's his scarf! now tell me where he is or I'll kill you first! -continues to hit at the girl-

 

Nautilus: -His fins lowered, that didn't sound good. Bolting after Ada he didn't hesitate to try to intervene. Going to grab the man and pull him back- Hey hey hey!! what's going on here?! Why're you hitting her?? -He rose his voice, using the water he gathered to try and fend off the projectiles-

 

Man: -puts his hands over Naut's, trying to get the other man to put him down- leave me alone you aren't a part of this! -he snareled, before shooting another glare at the girl in the scarf-

 

Ada: -rushes to Kida's side and hugs her, before looking her over for injuries, noticing several bruises along her arms and face before hugging her again- oh kida don't worry me like this! don't worry, you'll be okay.

 

Nautilus: -Forcing the other down and growling lightly he bared his sharky teeth at the other- Didn't your mother ever tell you it was rude to hit girls? -He hissed, positioning himself till he was sitting on the other, he looked back to the other two, casting a sorry glance to Kida- S'she alright??

 

Ada: -nods- shes a little bruised up but she'll be fine.

 

Man: Yeah!? what do you know? your not all friendly with a murderer! and for all I know she's one too! -continues to struggle against the zora hybrid-

 

Nautilus: -He huffed at the other's struggles and held up his trident- Don't make me whack you with this. -Looking around to the crowd he waved his arms- Shoo! All of you! You've got no business here anymore, or I'll make you all chum -He tugged his mouth open to reveal his jagged teeth in an attempt to get them to clear out. Peering back to the girls to check for himself he nodded lightly, reaching into his back and pulling up a small red vial given by Miri to him. He tossed it over gently- It's not much and I don't think it'll heal her, but it should aleviate the pain for awhile. S'all I got, sorry

 

Man: -glares- what if it was your wife that dog killed!? you wouldn't be all that happy either would you!? that filthy mutt killed my wife as well as plenty other people! -he looked to eh dispersing crowed, some of the few still there had just as angry faces- what about you all? who else did he kill huh? -this caused a couple people to shout out in rage almost as strong as the man's-

 

Ada: -shakes her head- oh no, its okay, you don't have to give this to u-- -pauses at a groan of pain from Kida and gives her the potion- okay. thank you. -ignoring all the angry shouts around her-

 

Naut: -Rolling his eyes at the man he stood. One firm foot on the other's chest to keep him down he motioned for the girls to go before things got heavy. He could take a pretty good guess who the citizens were referring to. Hoping Kida wouldn't hear him and jump to conclusions with his little fib he scoffed- Then go find the mutt and take it out on him -Knowing they wouldn't be able to find the wolfos if he was puppynapped he continued- Or maybe, you morons didn't stop to think. Maybe that woman got rid of him herself! and is wearing his scarf as a trophy! That's a possibility. -Feeling a few pounds of cement harden in his stomach, he was going to feel hella guilty if Kida heard all of this. Pressing onto the man's chest before stepping off he snorted- You think she's the bad guy you should all take a look in a damned mirror.. Bruising her to high death mountain, you should all be ashamed.

 

Man: -was about to retort to the fishboy when suddenly a woman came out ahd draped herself over him, they looked rather similar, siblings, perhaps?-

 

Woman: stop stop! he has learned his lesson he wont do it again!

 

Kida: -following ada her heart dropped a couple notches as she caught a little bit of what naut was saying and pulled her hands up to her scarf sadly-

 

Ada: -shakes her head, continuing to guide Kida away- you know he isn't trying to be hurtful, he is only trying to get them to stop hurting you. I told him about ichigo, he seems to understand.

 

Kida: -nods sadly and continues on. they pause at the edge of town to wait for Naut-

 

Naut: -Despite the woman coming out to defend the man he thrust a finger at them both- Keep him in line, he's got no business hurting innocent people. If I catch him again he's getting a wallop full of trident -He made the empty threat at least to teach them a leeson, leaving to return to the girls. Seeing Kida's face the cement in his stomach turned to lead, fins falling while his tail dragged a bit- Sorry about that, I didn't mean any of what I said.. Like what I told Ada, Slate doesn't like to see people suffer so I'm sure he's fine.. -He reached out to try and pat her comfortingly, but retracted it a bit thinking she might not want his hand- Are you feeling okay? Your bruises, I mean..

 

Kida: -blinks for a moment before nodding- y-yeah... I'm fine. thank to that little potion most of them don't hurt any more. -she offered him a smile- thank you.

 

Ada: -looks thoughtful for a moment- so what about that toy you wanted to get for him? I can still go and grab it real quick!

 

Kida: -looks surprised- O-oh Ada, you don't have to. I've caused enough trouble already....

 

Nautilus: -Eyes flickering between the two he was at least relieved that she wasn't pained anymore. With the next subject he perked finally wanting to do something helpful- I could go get it, if you just give me the rupees I can run and buy it real quick

 

Ada: -smiles greatfully- that would be great, thanks. -she hands him a pouch of more than enough rupees for it and then starts to pet Kida soothingly- we'll just be here.

 

Naut: -Feeling the two would've liked a few minutes alone he took the rupees, bowed his head and turned to jog off to the store. Finding it within the next few minutes he entered and looked about- Now... What did she want again? -He gripped his chin a bit and perused the shop trying to remember what Kida had been looking at-

 

Ada: -continuing to comfort Kida-

 

Nautilus: -Finally finding the little toy he picked it up with care. Knowing he'd have a little leftover he shamelessly bought a little package of fish crackers and exited the store with the gift. A little fishy tail sticking out of his mouth he held the toy out for Kida- Therr you go, I'll have to pay you back for the crackersh, Ada -Gulping down one his cheeks warmed with embarrassment again and he rubbed his neck- I had an impulse

 

Ada: -smiles to him- oh no worries. I did say I was up to buying you something and it looks like I have.

 

Kida: -sniffling a little she reached out for the toy and hugged it close. it seems she had cried a bit but was just getting over it- thank you Naut.

 

Nautilus: -Eyes turning as the sniffle came his eyes then searched the ground for an answer. Tentatively he held out one of the little fishies- Cracker? -He asked, putting another in his own mouth with his free hand-

 

Kida: -giggles a little through her sadness and takes it, pulling down the scarf to nibble at it for a moment before taking a large bite out of it- heh... this is really good.

 

Nautilus: -Fins lifting as she seemed to like it he nodded and looked back out toward the forest- I suppose it's time we head back, Kiara and Fang could be wondering where you two are if they're back

 

Ada: -nods- that would be best. would you like to come back with us? I could lend you a bed for the night.

 

Nautilus: -He waved his hands with a small smile- Maybe it's not such a good idea, it's a rough time for you guys and I'd hate to impose. I don't think it would be terribly comfortable if I forced you two to cram into the same bed again -Tugging at a bit of hair he begun the walk back to the cave- I'll probably find a lake somewhere nearby

 

Ada: -smiles- nonsense. Kida only uses the beds to hide under the blankets when she is upset. she has her own little next for her and fang. and since there are three beds now there is more than enough room for us all to sleep comfortably. and if I may say so, you are probably the best thing that has happened to us in a long time.

 

Kida: -nods in response to Ada's words, still munchin on the cracker, trying to savor it now-

 

Nautilus: -He kept walking, holding the bag of crackers in a spot where both he and Kida could reach in whenever they liked. Eyes on the ground in thought he scratched his chest a bit- Well, I suppose I could if you insist. I'm getting close to shedding my scales again though, so things might get a little... messy

 

Kida: -glances over at him- You shed your shcales? -she said, taking a bite of another cracker as she spoke-

 

Nautilus: -Turning his head and feeling himself flush with embarrassment yet again his eyes went to the ground- W-well yeah.. I thought you knew -As if on cue a couple blue scales dropped from his free arm and fluttered to the ground to reveal shiny, vibrant new ones underneath- It's happened more often since I've moved away from the sea, I guess I'm not swimming as much as I used to, they dry out and die easier-

 

Kida: -makes on O shape with her mouth before stuffing it with a cracker to avoid looking like a fish for too long. that look didn't suit her very well- so um... well if you want you can soak in out little pond for a bit. it could help hydrate your scales. -she paused and looked at the newly revealed ones- ohh those ones are pretty!

 

Nautilus: -He shook his head- I don't really need it, once it starts it doesn't really stop ahah.. I get kicked out of a lot of places for it when it happens. -Pulling up his arm to look at them he felt the cool wind nip at the tender new scales, corners of his mouth twitching lightly- Yeah, nice to look at but hella sensitive at first.

Ada: -nods- oh yeah, Naut I was wondering, do you know any good fish breeds that are good to eat and breed fast, but not too much to over populate a small pond? I was thinking of keeping fish in the little well we have.

Nautilus: -Changing his attention to Ada he gained an awkward look. Not wanting to disappoint but not able to think of anything he tugged at a loose thread on his shirt- Welll... Any fishes that you could farm are particularly small.. And the larger ones lay so many eggs you'd have overcrowding and things would get out of control pretty fast.. Especially in the pond you have in your cave where there's no natural predators able to get in and out, and I doubt you could eat fish that big that fast. If you ever want some, I could always go out and get you a bunch. I love fishing, I would do it more if I knew how to cook them.

 

Ada: -chuckles- well I would teach you but a key essential in cooking is a fire, and I know you don't like those too much.

 

Naut: Yeaaaah, I'll leave the cooking to you, personally I think I'd burn everything he choked and bit down on another cracker. Shacking the bag to find there were only a few left he hled out the rest to Kida with a grin before returning his attention to Ada once more-Either that, or I'd just burn myself

 

Ada: -chuckles- well if you want you can go fishing for us. its a great change to have something from the water than from dry land. honestly, it gets tiring when all you get is the same meat. sure we get the variety of rabbits, hogs and deer, but that's about it. adding fish to the mix would be more than amazing.

 

Nautilus: -He straightened with some semblance of pride and gained a big stupid grin on his face- It's settled then, I'll be your friendly neighbourhood fisherman! The ponds and lakes around here aren't so bad either, whenever you like just gimme a holler and I'll get some for you. My little bounty today should last you a small while at least, unless you guys have hollow legs and like seconds -The zoran teased with a smile-

 

Kida: -laughs, having taken the back and was munching relentlessly on the rest of the crackers- ha! Kiara has an endless stomach. we will be lucky if there is any left when we get back! -she said, smiling-

 

Ada: -chuckles- haha yeah, Kida and I have lived off of the bare minimum and have gotten used to eating less than usual, even after we could take down multiple large game in one hunt. but Kiara, she was always trickier. she would nab food from people -- those who don't need extras of course -- and indulge herself. but its all good. nowadays I have been able to feed everyone and I couldn't be happier. -she tossed a grin back at Naut- by the way feel free to come over whenever, alright? we will always have an open bed unless Kahili is over, since it is for her originally. but even then, feel free to come over.

 

Nautilus: Well then. pray -He laughed with the wolf girl and swiped his hands on his pants, taking a moment to scratch his arms particularly the scales on them. Another soft grin came at the offer- Thanks I'd be happy to. And if you ever need me I never stray too far -His smile turned sweet and his attention was taken back before them as he saw the bush hiding the entrance of the cave-

[10:11:14 PM] Sade: Ada: -smiles as she hears a light barking from inside and opens the bush for the others to go in before her-

 

Kida: -at the sound of Fang she hurriedly rushes in and picks him up into a hug before setting the pup down and going to grab a bone to give him- Ah, Kiara we already ate but feel free to have some of the--

 

Ada: too late. -she shook her head amuse to see all of the remaining fish gone- well, there goes that. maybe your free tomorrow to go fishing some more? -she said as she turned to naut with an amused smile-

 

Fang: -at the sight of Naut he bound up and down and raced towards the man before getting stopped short by KIda-

 

Kida: -giggles- no no, here, have this and maybe you can have some pets later -she said in a gentle tone, smiling back at naut, remembering that he was allergic-

 

Nautilus: -Eye twitching lightly, actually surprized to see that Kiara had, in fact, eaten the rest of the fish- Oh... Oh my -He muttered and rubbed his cheek, nodding lightly to Ada's suggestion- Yeah I think I better -Looking down to Fang he grinned happy to see the little ball of fur again, finding his way to a chair while Kida gave the bone to the pup- And the gang's all here, like a big ole happy family

Kiara: -is floating up side down and playing with her own shadow. wrapped up in her own world, happy and full-

 

Ada: -smiles and sets her stuff on a table- haha, yeah. it really is.  and because of my dear sister who can never stop eating, I am pretty sure fish in the pond will be no big deal. however perhaps we should just get some pet fish. You could play with them and such too~

 

Nautilus: -Earfins flicking up and alert at the mention of pet fish his eyes lit up- In that case goldfish are really neat pets! and so are koi, but they can get reaaally big -The hybrid rambled off about different types, the cute ones, the cool ones. One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish etc. etc. Of course it was only natural that aqua lad over there was fond of fish and the sea. Pausing a moment to catch his breath he chuckled a little- Sorry, I must be talking your ear off

 

Ada: -chuckles- ah no no, that's alright. its quite interesting to hear about it all. you know what. how about tomorrow we can go out and collect some stuff to make the pond more fish friendly, alright?  then we can go get some fish--together. that way you can choose the little ones you want to be swimming around in there~

 

Nautilus: -A childish grin spread across his face and he nodded eagerly- That sounds like a plan, I like it -The zoran beamed with excitement, already counting down the hours till the next morning- How late is it? -He pondered, wondering if it was too early to turn in or not

 

Ada: -chuckles- its getting late, but we still have time for dinner. you may want the energy to go fish hunting tomorrow. I'm thinking wild ones would be the most interesting to keep, unless you say otherwise, of course~ -she got up to start preparing dinner-

 

Nautilus: -Once again giving a nod of agreement he decided to stand and wander a bit. Firstly lingering by the cave's little pond to design a sort of fish tank, what he'd want in it among other things. Eventually he found himself settling on his stomach by Fang, reaching over to pet him despite his allergies- How's it going little guy?

 

Fang: -pauses his bone knowing to bark happily, leaning into the pets but was more preoccupied with trying to get the marrow from the bone, twisting it this way and that to try and get at it from different angles-

 

Nautilus: -Watching him pull, tug, and gnaw on the bone he laughed a few times- Having a bit of trouble there? -He inquired, feeling the beginnings of his reaction, but holding back so the others wouldn't worry. He didn't want to cut himself off from the black fluff a majority of the time, so he took the chance to at least pet him a bit-

 

Fang: -growls a little in frustration as he tries to knaw into the bone only to have it snap in his mouth and make his gums bleed. he started to whine really loudly-

 

KIda: -turns to fang and picks him up, looking at him for a moment, then to the bone, then back to him and gives a small sigh- don't worry Fang, I'll get some milk. that'll makie things all better, alright?

 

Naut: -As the bone snapped his brows rose and he held up his hands, feeling he was gonna be blamed for whatever reason. Standing he frowned at the pup a bit- That's rough, kid. But hey, no pain no gain. You're only getting stronger -Patting the pup a bit he decided to resume his wandering. Finally taking the time to sniffle and rub his eyes, returning to the water to wash his face a bit-

 

Kida: -soon returns to the pup with a small bottle of mils and pours it into a little bowl before sliding it to Fang. it was ordinary milk,. but Fang loved it none the less and it made him feel better-

 

Kiara: -floating over to Naut she looked at him curiously- oh hey, are you okay? -she asked from her up side down position in the air-

 

Nautilus: -Drying his face with an arm he blinked to find a demon floating infront of him- Oh, yeah.. I'm fine, why do you ask? -He cocked his head a little to the side and briefly itched an eye again-

 

Kiara: -tilts her head- you look a little.....ichy. -completely clueless about his allergy-

 

Nautilus: -He smiles sweetly and waved off her curiousity- Oh it's nothing, just a bit of allergies I'm alright. -Pushing himself to his feet he only just noticed she was floating. Blinking a bit he'd only ever seen Ame and other ghosts gloat- .. Huh

 

Kiara: -tilts her head again- is something wrong? -twirls around so she is sitting upright, but still floating-

 

Nautilus: -Waving his hand above and below  her he looked puzzled on how she was doing that- You're.... Floating?? Are you a poe?

 

Kiara: -looks down at the space where between her and the ground- oh this? its because I am a Twili. on my fathers side. it gives me the ability to float and other cool things like this! -she grinned and dropped to the ground, or more of, through it into the shadow- and this! -she then make naut's shadow warp and bend and giggled at showing off her abilities-

 

Nautilus: -He jumped as she disappeared into the ground, and even moreso when the twili contorted his shadow. Yelping he teetered back and fell into the pond. Surfacing moments later in a bout of laughter- Haha, Ahh I can't believe that scared me hah. That's really cool -He snickered, pulling his soaked hair out of his face which had sprung out of it's ponytail in the scramble-

 

Kiara: -surfaces from the water with a giggle- yeah, I find it cool. its amazing for pranks too! especially when you can hide in someone's shadow and talk to them. they have no idea where I am! -in her amusement her tail flicked out and splashed the water behind her-

 

Nautilus: -Climbing out of the pond he squeezed his hair and took off his shirt so he wouldn't drip all over the cave. Squeezing that out aswell he layed it out to try and looked to Kiara with the last of his laughs- Yeah it's certainly something. I can only imagine how mayn people you've gotten with that one

 

Kiara: -giggles and floats out of the pond- oh plenty. its mostly for friendly play now, and that's what I like. not stuff like what my mother did.... -she turned away before shaking her head a little- but that's behind me now! -she said with a wide smile-

 

Naut: -Blinking a little he just gave an airy laugh and sat back. Looking down and frowning as the rest of the scales on one arm were scattered about the floor- Mrrr....

 

Kiara: -as she floated around the fallen scales caught her eye and she curiously leaned down to pick one up, then two, then three, and soon she started to collect all the fallen ones on the ground- where did these come from? they are so interesting!

 

Nautilus: -Watching as his scales were being collected he rubbed a hand over the sensitive newer ones- Ummm... My arm?? -The fishboy then gained a puzzled look- Did you want them??

 

Kiara: -looks at the ones collected in her hand to the ones on his arm and, because she is an idiot, floated over to poke him on one of his shinier scales- they are so interesting. I never seen anything like it before!

 

Nautilus: -Jolting at the prod his fins flayed out in a wide span and he took his arm away- Aah! Careful, they're tender when they're new.. -He murmured, still feeling the sensation of the prod even after he'd pulled it away-

 

Kiara: -jerks back and falls to the ground- o-oh, worry I didn't... know.. -blinks before looking at the scales in her hands- they aren't as shiny as those though.....

 

Nautilus: -His fins relaxing as the feeling faded, he sighed- It's alright. And they're not that shiny cause they're old, probably dead. I mean, you're welcome to keep them if you want but... Iunno. I don't really see the allure of old scales -He shrugged and looked at the others on his skin that had yet to fall-

 

Kiara: -nods and drops the old scales- your right. shiny ones look much nicer. Too bad those aren't the ones that come off--- -she clamped her hands to her mouth- er I mean... how about seashells? those can be shiny! heh...heh.

 

Nautilus: -He shrugged- Well, technically I could pull em off, but then they'd be all bloody and I don't figure you'd like them much after that -Wiggling his toes a bit he smiled at her enthusiasm with shells- I collect them actually, I've made bracelets for those I hold close. I think I gave Ada one awhile back actually -The boy looked over his shoulder to the cooking kargorok-

 

Ada: -at the sound of her name she looked up and waved, a bracelet of shells on her wrist that she had slipped on when they gotten back-

 

Kiara: -nods- ooh sounds like fun, and I think I've seen it before didn't it have-- oh look! she's wearing it now!

 

Nautilus: -He shot a thumbs up to Ada as she showed off his gift- Yeah, I've only given a few out, one to her, one to a girl named Eden, and.... Actually, I think that's it -He pursed his lips rubbing his head- Yeah, I think those are the only two

 

Kiara: -grins- they must be special friends to you then! I'm sure if Ada knew how special it is.. and come to think of it she probably does, then she would treasure it. which, why I said I think she knows is because she does. she doesn't hold onto many items, but that's something she has held onto since I fist saw her with it.

 

Nautilus: -A sheepish look crossed his face and he chuckled- Shucks I didn't think she'd hold something so simple so close ahah. Whenever I made em for my village they usually sat on shelves collecting dust. It's different here-

 

KIara: -puts a finger to her cheek and tilts her head- well where you come from there must be plenty of seashells around anyway. not so many here so they would be more appreciated. and I think she holds onto it more because it reminds her of you! -she grinned- from what she has told me, you have been a great friend to her, and lately, those seem hard to come by.

 

Nautilus: -His expression turned from sheepish to full on bashful and he looked downward- How sweet, I don't think I've ever felt so wanted ahah. -Prodding his shirt to find it still damp he wiggled his tail and decided to leave it be. Standing and folding his arms behind his head he looked about the cave- How's dinner coming along??

 

Ada: -smiles over and waves to them again- just about ready. I hope you like it! its stew tonight!

 

Nautilus: -Clapping his hands together he gave an eager giggle and held a hand back for Kiara to grasp and pull herself up. Ready to go over and sit by the fire to eat-

 

Ada: -smiles and pulls out a stack of bowls, filling each one up as everyone walked on over to get some grub. she first handed a bowl to Naut with a spoon- be careful, its still hot. -she said in a soft tone before continuing to give one to Kida and Kiara. and pulled a bone out of the pot to give to fang-

[1:52:40 PM] BUTT STALLION: Nautilus: -Getting comfortable his tail lightly flopped repeatedly on the ground behind him. Pushing around the contents of the bowl with his spoon a big grin grew on his face. Spooning up some he blew on it a considerable amount before taking a bite. Fins and tail wiggling with delight- Mmmmm warm foood~~ -He chimed happily to himself and went for anorther spoonful

[2:02:18 PM] Sade: Ada: -smiles, serving herself last and started to eat- you know, it would be interesting to try and make a stew out of fish. I only even make a sort of fillet out them before. -she said looking thoughtful.

 

Kida: -shakes her head- if your the cook then itsw going to be good no matter what.

 

Ada: -chuckles- believe it or not I was a horrible cook once.

 

Kida: -nods- yes yes I remember. but not any more~~

 

Kiara: -already done, holding her bowl out for seconds- more please!

 

Ada: -chuckles and put her bowl down to serve Kiara again-

 

Nautilus: -He watched as the back and forth happened, tail swaying in amusement at the two. Gulping down his last mouthful he scooped up whatever was left of the juice and set down the bowl- My mother used to make fish stew, it's actually probably my favorite food ahah.. We had it a lot back home and I never got sick of it -He remembered the meals fondly and looked over to the hungry demon. Seeing for himself the somewhat glutton in action-

 

Kiara: -after getting another share she downed it eagerly, however, after the second bowl she figured he had enough and flopped over, stretching out like how one would expect an animal to after a meal-

 

Ada: -perks up at the zora's words- really? maybe you could tell me how to make it then, or at least taste test it to see if I can get it close. its always nice to be reminded of home~

 

Nautilus: -He gave an embarrassed look at the suggestion. Brushing a hand through his hair he chuckled a little- It'll be difficult, it's been years and years and years. I haven't had any of my mom's cooking in about a decade. But whatever recipe you decide to try I'm sure it'll be close. My mother never was one for secret ingredients or anything like that. Hah, maybe she foresaw this and wanted to keep things simple for you -He joked, rubbing his neck a little, attention stolen as he'd dislodged a few more scales- I'm sorry, I shoulda bought a broom instead of those crackers goodness gracious..

 

Kiara: -at the sight of the scales falling she reached out at them like a cat and tried to catch them before they hit the ground-

 

Ada: -chuckles a little- haha, maybe. ah but it'll be fun to work with, now that fish are on the menu there are many more opportunities open to us~ -she suddenly laughed- maybe next I should plant a garden!

 

Nautilus: -Raises a brow as the demon tries to collect his scales again. Finding her fascination with his dead skin odd. Looking back to Ada he gave a simple smile- Well, you've got plenty of land out front. A garden wouldn't be such a bad idea considering you've got a water source and lots of sun. Speaking of which -He noticed the light by the exit of the cave had vanished to make room for the night, the thought of which the zoran parted his sharky jaws in a large yawn-

 

Ada: -glances over tot eh entrance to the cave and gives a slight nod- I guess, but it would either be free food and herbs for a passerby or it'll give unwanted attention as to where my cave is. and speak of, I think we should move soon...... -she then let out a yawn- ah, but that's a story for another day. looks like night has sprung up on us without notice. -begins to collect the bowls from everyone who was done-

 

Nautilus: -Giving a quick rup to each of his eyes he handed his bowl to Ada before crawling over and retrieving his shirt. While it was still a little damp he tugged it on with a stretch. Turning his attention to the beds, then the kargarok he inquired- Do you need any help with cleanup??

 

Ada: -smiles warmly- ah, no that's fine. I got it. Kida why don't you go show him to a bed, alright? -she said, motioning from the wolf to the beds, one of which Kiara had already taken-

 

Kida: -had just turned feral and nodded moving to Naut and standing there for a moment before turning and showing him to the bed she usually rested in when primal before padding off to get fang to return to their natural bed of moss, pine needles and feathers-

 

Nautilus: -Giving a curt nod and turning to his gestured bed the zoran grinned and patted Kida briefly with a brief thanks before walking over to the bed. He sat on it at first, contemplating whether or not it was Kahili's and if she would mind him borrowing it. With a light shake of the head he waited patiently for everyone else before he himself settled in for the night. Tucking his tail in around him-

 

Ada: -after finishing up she put everything away and put out the fire. soon she too was in bed and all was peaceful in the cave-
